וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל הַחֵ֤פֶץ לַֽיהוָה֙ בְּעֹל֣וֹת וּזְבָחִ֔ים כִּשְׁמֹ֖עַ בְּק֣וֹל יְהוָ֑ה הִנֵּ֤ה שְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ מִזֶּ֣בַח ט֔וֹב לְהַקְשִׁ֖יב מֵחֵ֥לֶב אֵילִֽים׃
Samuel répondit "Des holocaustes, des sacrifices ont-ils autant de prix aux yeux de l’Éternel que l’obéissance à la voix divine? Ah! L’obéissance vaut mieux qu’un sacrifice, et la soumission que la graisse des béliers!
